Kore Virtual Machines was founded in 2008 by Steven Collins and Hugh Reynolds. Kore is headquartered in San Francisco, CA with engineering offices in Dublin, Ireland. Completing the founding team, Mitch Morando leads Kore’s Sales and Business Development efforts. From 2001 to 2006 Mitch worked with Steven and Hugh where he was critical in growing Havok into a profitable international organization. |
Steven and Hugh have worked together since 1994. They are both software engineers. Having grown restless in academia they founded Havok.com to commercialize physics research in the games middleware market. From 1998 to 2005 they grew Havok to be world number one in its market resulting in acquisition by Intel. After Havok, Steven went back to University to incubate some new ideas in gaming, Hugh left him alone for a while and then persuaded him to jump into another start-up... Kore was born. |
